Chinua Achebe full name is Albert Chinualumogu Achebe. He was born on November 16, in 1930 - died March 21, in 2013. He is a Nigerian novelist and father of modern African literature. For his English first novel “Things Fall Apart” he won the Man Booker International Award in 2007.

 Chinua was living in the United States since the car accident in 1990. Then he did not write any book for more than 20 years. He spent most of his subsequent years teaching at the Brown University of the United States. In his service life, he started working in Nigeria's broadcast service. His writings began as a university student.

As a writer, Chinua Achebe worked as a bridge between Africa and Western society. Her work has been evaluated by the standards of African writers for generations. Chinua wrote more than 20 novels, story. Some of these writings strongly criticize the failure of politicians and the leadership of Nigeria.

In his books, during the country's colonial period, the history of Igbo society, Christian aggression in the country's culture and the traditional contradiction between Africa and the Western have become clear. He also wrote many short stories, children's literature and essays. In the year 1958, the first novel, 'Things Fail Appart', was widely known through Chinua Achebe. The novel has been translated into over fifty languages. Moreover, the novel is sold 1 million copies around the worldwide. Another notable novel 'Anthill's of the Savanna' was published in 1988. Chinua Achebe won the Booker Prize for his famous novel Things Fall Apart.

Chinua Achebe writings portrayed African politics and Western domination, the way in Africa. He is the source of inspiration from many African writers. Written by Chinua Achebe, the prison wall breaks - remarked that South African anti-apartheid leader Nelson Mandela.
