George Bernard Shaw was one of the greatest dramatists all over the world. He was an Irish dramatist. Also, he is called the father of modern English literature. After Shakespeare, no dramatist equals Shaw in a variety of characters. Geroge Bernard Shaw status as the greatest playwright soon after Shakespeare. He is known as the greatest modern dramatist. He earned popularity as a journalist and a critic. His plays were considered to be his masterpieces. He adopted a humorous and witty approach in his play“ Arms and the Man". It was a pleasant play where he satirized the romantic conception of the soldier.  He is famous for his drama of ideas. In 1925, Geroge Bernard Shaw won the Nobel Prize in Literature.
